Summer Sends It's Love
I seem to remember
Sand between our toes
and waves crashing in our ears.
I seem to remember
Sand in our food
and seagulls screaming in our ears.
I can't remember a day within the last three years
In which you haven't made me smile.
I've slipped and fell many a time.
A few times I crashed right into you.
And you've continued to be the perfect cloud to fall into.
I'm amazed at your ability
to put up with my razor teeth
and touch my heart the right way.
I'm amazed at your ability
to put up with my teeth grinding
and touch my skin in all the right places.
Think of me every night and count the days.
