Stained Glass
Softly my voice comes to speak
Quietly the words must drip out
Careful not to crash and burn
But they have to fly
Past the dried out eyes
and through the tear stained glass
Quickly they must enter the brain
Make the way clear for the embrace
Where our lips should be touching
After all the pointed out demons and mistakes
With this expensive amount of remorse
Are wrapped around the apologies
Now that these sleeves have ran red
Will you wait on this slow moving tide?
And promise me you will be here, right here
By My Side
For Now and Forever.
