Saviour

The rain falls down upon this barren land
Washing away all for which I stand
It leaves me bewildered, I don't know what to do
I need some sort of light, the light from you

You are my Saviour
Your love my guiding light
It pierces through this desolate dark
And helps me survive the night

You've done what no one else could
Something that not one person would
You found the pinpoint of light inside me
And helped it burn bright, like it should

You helped me end my hurtful ways
Brought to a stop, my Dark Days
Said everything I needed someone to say
And promised that, beside me, you'd stay

I've needed this for so very long
I've been waiting all my life for someone like you
A woman that's kind, caring, helpful, and strong
And a love that is powerful and true

You have become my saving grace
You're the best thing that's some into my life
You're the reason I thrive,
You're why I survive
And I cannot wait to call you my wife

I'll never be able to thank you enough
Or show you just how much I love you
But maybe you'll see,
How much you mean to me,
When I proudly say to you, "I do."
