Only You
Tear drops glisten,
In the rain.
If you listen,
You can hear my pain.
It's not dying out,
Not ever,
Not now.
Your words are clever,
And push away the clouds.
But don't you ever,
Wonder out loud,
"What's it like to die?"
And if you listen closely,
You'll hear my pain,
But mostly,
The person I don't want to be.
The real me,
That only you,
Will be allowed to see.
