One Year; One Day

we are
one year
and one
day

can you believe it?

after
all of this
waiting
this talk
all of this
time
all of those
experiences..
this
amazing year
suddenly
flew by
and we
both are still here
singing
the same
quiet song
weaving through
life
in our
own little
rhythm

my heart still beats
the same
as it did
when i first saw you
though it does
beat
a little
louder
my knees still shake
when you
walk into
a
room
i still lose
my
breath
whenever i hear
your
sweet
voice
(my lullaby)
and i still love you
unconditionally
just like i did
the first time i
saw you
the first time
when
and i had that
feeling
that one day..
one day
God would bless me
by sending me
a little gaurdian angel; you
into
my
life

we have
a whole other year
shining
above
the last
another
step
forward
a leap
of faith
into
another chapter
of our life
together

and i am ready to
jump
whenever
you
are

happy anniversary

I love you baby. WE have had some great times this year and I hope to make a lot of new memories this year. =]
I really like how there is so much room for interpretation with the way it is written. IT gets me thinking, thinking in a good way, about our future. =] I like it
I love you baby =]
happy one year and one day. *kiss*

cute, i like the ending.
but
maybe
we
could
put
at
least
a
few
words
on
the
same
line?

thank you for the suggestion, but that is just my writing style. it matches my thought process very well; i think a million things at once, so they all clash in a strange sort of heap and end up choppy. you just read the poem regularly until you reach punctuation.
if i were to write:

the
cat
ate
the
mouse.

it would still be read as "the cat ate the mouse"

i don't know why i fell into that habit, but somehow i did. i don't always write like this, but generally when i am writing of some extreme emotion, it comes out choppier, like this.

thank you for the suggestion though, i really appreciate it! i will try it with my next poem and see where that takes me.
