Then you stopped me in my tracks
You told my best friend you basically hated me
Expecting him not to tell me
You really think he would let me keep going after
You after what you said

I cried inside
Not letting anyone see the tears
You said I was a drama queen

Made me feel like I don’t belong

I thought I would never move on
Until the time my best friend
Told me this:
Don’t waste your time chasing after someone
But go to the person who is chasing after

I now know of a person who really cares
Because I can see it in his eyes
We have had food fights
Water fights
Inside jokes
And just everything that makes a relationship
