My Perpetual Silhouette

I’ll walk beneath the dark night sky,
If only for a while.
I’ll walk below the dim lit stars,
Admiring their style.
Then perhaps I might see you,
Standing off in the dark.
I’ll walk to you and mutter few words,
Hoping to find a spark.
As I turn to walk the other way,
You’ll lightly grab my hand.
I’ll turn around and look at you,
Then in your arms I’ll land.
You’ll listen to me talk for hours,
Because you’re not like other men.
You’ll be that special someone,
And I’ll learn to love again.
I'll have known you for sometime now,
But it'll feel like we've just met.
Eventually you will become,
My perpetual silhouette.
You'll be my zealous follower,
Never failing to make me smile.
We'll walk beneath the dark night sky,
If only for a while.
