My Fair Angel

If I could, I'd seize the mountains, and make them bow to you,
I'd take every twinkling star and bring them down to you,
I'd gather every flower that blooms a spectral rose,
I'd shatter every weapon and shout the only name my heart knows.

I'd tame the wild creatures to do your bidding evermore,
I'd make a land for you and me, so no other reaches the shore,
And there we'll be together, until the heavens come crashing down,
Even that won't take me from you, my fair angel, hold me now.

This is dripping romance. Beautifully written.
I really love that first line! I have written something similar 'Finding Love' quite a bit back. You may enjoy it too?

Sometimes i'm a bit hesitant about reading love poems; they're usually dripping with "sappiness". But this poem is perfect...i love how you add nature to the mix, it takes true love to want to change the world for one persn. When i read this i got butterflies in my stomach because i know what it's like to love someone this much. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
