Smile wide
Get that glint in your eye
Pretend the blood isn't rushing up my cheeks in a hot blush
Please don't notify me of it, it'll only get worse
You know this, and so you do exactly what I told you not to
You tell me
A warm hand works it's way over my cheek and you smirk
"You're blushing"
Your voice drifts out into the atmosphere
I try to hide behind my hands, looking up at you and a laugh tumbles from your lips
I frown in your general direction
"I'm glad you find it so amusing"
I say as I draw away from you
Your warmth slips away from my body
And you try to worm your way next to me again
I try to flee
This isn't my kind of game
I've given up playing and tried to call it off
No re-dos
No take backs
Shut down the door, ripped the board from your hands and threw the peices away
And still you insist on playing
Your arms wrap around my waist from behind and you rest your head on my shoulder
"Come on, play nice now"
You voice is soft and I just lean in to you
My body soaking up your warmth
I smile faintly and then speak
"I hate it when you do that"
You give me a questioning look and I reply to the question in your eyes
"I hate it when you remind me of how much I love you"
