Looking Down

If I only did have just one more chance,
Just one more chance to be,
I think of all I took for granted,
For what was there for me.

How could I’ve ever known?
How much I had to share,
With all the things I had,
I simply didn’t care.

I used the time I had,
I thought I used it well,
But now that I look down,
I’m fortunate not to be in hell.

It’s amazing when we are here,
We never use our sight,
We never look the distance,
To find out what is right.

To over crowd our mind,
And never use our soul,
Is that what we are here for?
How can this make us whole?

Now that I am gone,
I see the world so true,
I’ll live again someday,
And live it I will do.

Again, I wish I would a bit more focused.
I would definitely try to take this apart.
But it's amazing even at when looking at a quick glance.

Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda. Here's hoping the lessons we learn this time around stay with us. Well written, insightful.
