just another love poem

she sits there.
resting after taking her brother and sister to summer camp.
watching tv and doing nothing.

she hears the phone ring.
it's chad,
her dad's friend
she sits there listening to him talk
for nearly a half an hour

then he brings up his son.
she realizes,
damn. it's been almost
three years since she
last saw him
or talked to him.

she asks chad for
his son's email address
then she looks him up on myspace.

she finds him!

she starts talking to him and talking to him
then she starts
instant messaging him.

they talk for hours
he puts on his web cam.
she finally sees his face
for the first time in years.

she realizes how much she misses him.
and then he asks her out.

she has know him
almost her whole life
and is shocked to see
that he STILL likes her.

he tells her that he loves her.
then tells her that he is visiting
his sister's house in town.
she gets so excited.
jumping up and down until her world gets dizzy.

she's so excited!

they make plans for the next day when he visits.
they are going swimming and then
back to his sister's house to watch his nephew.

the next day finally arrives
but she's nervous that he won't call.

she sits there with the phone in hand.
waiting for it to ring.
it rings and she answers it,
so excitedly.
just to find out that it was his dad calling,
chad.

he sits there for fifteen minutes,
babbling on about his son doing bad.
what she doesnt get is
why does he talk about him,
when they don't even talk to each other.

she tells him that she has to go.
that his son is supposed to be calling soon.
he tells her goodbye
and hangs up.

nearly ten minutes later the phone rings again.
it's him!

they are on their way to pick her up to go swimming.
she starts jumping up and down and squeeling.
she's so happy that she finally gets to see him.

!!!!!!!!!

they finally arrive.
she gets into the car.
she feels as if she forgot how to talk.
she just doesn't know what to say or what to do.

on the way to the pool,
there is complete and
utter silence between the two of them.
they sit there and
smile back and forth at each other through
the rear veiw mirrors.

she remains silent
until they reach his step dad's apartment.
they are going swimming there.

when they get there,
they go down to the pool area.
where there are two pools divided by a hedge and a hot tub next to the smaller pool.
at first him, her, his sister and his nephew go to the larger, deeper pool.
there, him and her jump in.
but his sister and her son go tho the smaller pool so the little boy can play on his own.

the two of them were left in the pool alone
with no one to watch them.

she starts swimming back and forth
with him slowly following her.
he suddenly grasps her sides,
pulling her close to him.
she puts her arms around his neck
then looks deeply in his eyes.
she leans her face forward.
she closes her eyes.
and then,
for the first time in thirteen years of knowing each other,
they kiss.

he puts one arm aroung her waist,
gently placing his hand on her side.
then he puts his other hand under her legs,
calmly stroking his hand along her thighs...........................................................................
