If I gave you roses enough,
could I convince you that life isn't so brutally tough?
Could the velvet petals erase the sorrows of past loves?
Could the aroma soothe the pain caused by false trusts?
Could the beauty smoothe the callouses on your heart's husk?
Could you dip the stem in ink,
and write a love poem, about us?
If I gave you the stars and I gave you the moon,
would it be enough to stop you from hurting you?
Would your starlight replace the need for a blade?
Could they stop the stress that makes you cause yourself pain?
Would the lunar glow pluck the seed from your mind,
before it sprouts into full blown suicide?
If for you, I gave my life up,
would it show you then, that I'm serious about us?
If I waited beyond life, a martyr for love,
would you follow me through, so we could rise above?
