How "We" Became an "Us"

Every time I see her face, all time begins to slow
I can’t explain quite how this feels, maybe I’ll never know.
It’s warm and cuddly like a hug, and tugs at my heartstrings
I know now that I’m in love, as only such could make me sing.

“It’s been so long, I’ve seen it all” is what I told the mirror,
Nothings felt as right as this and nothings been so clear.
“I’ll never bother, it doesn’t work,” secretly I vowed,
She takes me from this place called earth and puts me in the clouds.

How happy I am to share her love as I gaze in her eyes,
I couldn’t be happier, my heart just leaps, meaningful butterflies.
I know now what I hadn’t then, and so I will not rush,
It started with just two wandering souls, and “We” became an “Us”.
