Feel You

There's so many miles between us
How do I feel you by my side?
You have that way of touching me
That makes me feel so alive

I touch you with the whispers
I send everyday with the breeze
and I know that you whisper back my hope
by way of the dancing leaves

Every dream you are with me
Walking slowly in the sand
All those nights I wake up
Reaching out for your hand

In my mind I embrace you
and hold you whilst we cry
this pain brought us together
across endless acres of sky

At night my face is lit
By a moon that you gave light
Guiding through the rough terrain
Even on the darkest night

In the day the sun shines
its smile warm down on me
and I know that you are with me here
I feel but I cannot see

I long to hear your voice
Softly whispering in my ear
And feel the racing in my heart
Everytime that you come near

If you held me in your arms
surrounded me in your embrace
all my fears would melt away
when I looked up at your face

I'd brush the hair from your face
To see the most beautiful eyes
Feel your breath upon my lips
For without your kiss I will die

I close my eyes and reach for you
fingers entwined in your hair
but I open my eyes to see emptiness
I feel you but you are not there

I too open my eyes to find you gone
I still feel your body against mine
Even though you are not with me now
You my love, I will one day find

And when you find me
I will feel you true
like I feel this pain inside me
that pain will end with you
