Dreaming Heart

Last night I dreamt of you,
I dreamt that things were right.
You said you loved me all along,
Then you held onto me tight.

You said you didn’t care at all,
Didn’t care for what seemed wrong.
You looked into my eyes,
And promised to be strong.

You said I touched you from inside,
As you shed a gently tear.
Just then I took you in my arms,
And whispered in your ear.

I said I loved you from the start,
Even though we were apart.
I couldn’t go another day,
Without you in my heart.

The light shined in to greet the day,
My dream had gone so fast.
I hope to dream again tonight,
And dream this one to last.
