Tough Love

She thinks of him when she’s with him…
And when she is not
She thinks of her situation…
And all the tears it’s brought
She is trapped beneath her feelings…
Although no one knows
She hides all her emotions…
And cries when her love shows
She looks out of her window…
And through her teary eyes
She notices the sun sets before it ever shines
She’ll try to force a few smiles…
But fears that they are lies
And as she writes this down…
She comes to realize…
That life is filled with laughter…
And life is filled with tears…
And she cannot go on…
Wasting her teenage years
She knows it will soon be better…
Yet holds on to her sorrow
She clears him from her mind…
In hopes of a better tomorrow
