Perfect Picture

In magazines
On TV screens
A perfect body
Instead of a nobody
Thin instead of huge
Win instead of lose
Makeup to cover
A plastic lover
Have to look perfect
Be thin as an insect
A wrinkle killed by cream
Plastic woman in magazine
Skin to be pulled
Makeup to be fooled
These breasts are plastic
Face fulled by an elastic
A mirror image of vanity
Perfect body in society
To look perfect in today
Being ugly is not okay
Magazine and TV guide
As beauty wears on inside
It shouldn't matter if your fat
Society is all on crack
If a wrinkle is on show
The love for them will not go
As it doesn't matter of what you should look
We are to focused on that picture in that beauty book
As all women are beautiful at any color,weight, age or disability
I just thank god that they belong in our society

Haha, I like this poem. It makes a good statement. Women are becoming more and more objectified in this country (and the world) - it's wrong. And body image also is over stressed.

Makes me think of the war against pornography (or the lack of a stand against it).

I think you repeated a couple words too much- plastic, makeup and the last bit about how all woman are beautiful *which is the point of this* wasn't dipped into enough.
