If I can't spin a tale I'll tangle one instead
My hair is so tangled I can’t find the beauty in it
My nerves are so jangled I can’t find a tale to spin it.
The inside of my mouth is bloody
Did you know I chew my cheek?
I could follow the same format
Give some poppycock about misery and woe
How the world is built from corruption
How I’m ready for another eruption
But instead I’ll give you word play
Something about the endless green
How my eyes are dark with smudged mascara
From the humidity in the air
I’ll tell you about the 5:00 feeling
How my head is floating is thoughts of magic
A phantasmagoria of lucid green
I’m an avid lover of hair
When the lights snap back on
The world becomes real again
But in a new way of acceptance
And soft, clean hair
