I Pray

I pray for the homeless,
That they may find shelter.
I pray for the dying,
That they may believe in your healing power.


I pray for the hungry,
That they may find food to eat.
I pray for the people in need.


I pray for guidance.
I pray for your direction.
I pray that I will feel your affection.


I pray for our teachers,
Give them the strength to teach.
I pray for our leaders,
That you may guide them as the lead.

I pray for the depressed,
That they may find joy.
I pray for the lonely,
That they may find a friend.


I pray for the grieving,
That they may be comforted.
I pray for the ones, who strayed away from you,
That they may find you again.


I pray… that we will learn to pray.
I pray… that you teach us to love.
I pray… that you will provide us our needs.
And most of all…
I pray that beyond this broken world,
Somehow, we may find peace.
