Einstein’s Tongue

Scowling eyes scan as subliminal lies pass by.
They used to kill animals for meat,
now they watch their minds repeat.
Each strive to fill their roles,
their cluttered minds full of holes.
Drift away today, drift away, drift away.
Where did it all go wrong,
When did things start to fall apart,
When did the mind overtake the heart.
Waiting for the words to see,
The words, that will be the end of me.
Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know,
A mind so white, white like snow.
Bashing away at a brick wall,
A wall that isn’t there at all.
Keep me cluttered I’m scared,
Constantly looking for ways to be repaired.
Climb a tree in the forests of your mind,
And what you are looking for, you will find,
A place of tranquillity to go,
free from the ego.
Sit there and you will see,
No one is trying or paying attention,
They are all living their lives in suspension.
Rummaging for things to feel sane,
Designer labels, fables or living life by the cane.
Fear is always near to a blinkered mind,
Just give up there is nothing here to find.
One swift kick that will make you vomit,
Falls like a cat, lands like a comet,
You want it all to make sense,
but you have been thinking far too long,
The right, the wrong and Einstein’s tongue.
