Chaos

I couldn't sleep for the twitches,
Now I've got phantom wing itches.
Who’s guru's do you use,
When the time comes and you have to choose.
When the demons are jugging fire inside your skull,
Your heart feels hollow and you head is full.
Grasp to a chain of some kind,
Life is a state of mind,
Just a game they say,
The objective to find a way,
A reasonable motive to fill your day.
Feels like you are sinking,
Doing nothing but thinking,
Sifting through lies beneath pink and blue skies.
The world becomes a delusion,
Forces in an elaborate fusion.
In my eyes there’s truth inside,
A truth with nowhere left to hide.
While we fight for applause,
Our minds are full of tiny doors,
A labyrinth of ideas and dreams,
A twisted world with no gravity or rationality,
I can't stop my curiosity.
Through eager faces and plastic pop,
I'm waiting for the world to stop.
Religions form branches of a one huge tree,
Start to climb and you might find me,
A pioneer in my own mind,
Who’s not sure what he's trying to find,
Maybe a way to escape reality,
Find myself some tranquillity.
A universe inside my brain,
That lifts me up but makes me feel insane,
But I remain here again and again.
What I'm trying to say,
Is when the world turns grey,
With every cell screaming out for meaning,
There’s a distant mumble that makes churches crumble,
With every word I should not say,
When it feels like you are living in a play.
Patch up the holes and walk away,
Breathe in, and think of something to believe in,
Weather big or small it doesn't matter.
Something to reduce the mental chatter,
Breathe out, and remove all doubt,
You just might see what it all about.
And remember when the lights go out,
And you feel like you are at the bottom,
All dreams are warm and made of cotton.
