Changing Seasons

Wow, Everything Changes...

Like the leaves on the trees,
but in the end it's always predictable,
like in April, the spring breeze.
The leaves may turn a new leaf,
but we all know they'll be back someday,
Green and healthy and unused,
just like everything else in May.

Do you remember May?
Think of May when you're going through this
wintertime of harsh weather.
Everything may dry up or freeze over,
But there will come a season when,
Everything will be brand new again,

and for the better....

I guess through the winter,
all we can do for warmth is
try our best to stay close together.

So that when the time comes,
we can witness the blue skies and bright sun,
and see for ourselves,
that the worst never lasts forever.

This is so true, and heartfelt, and the metaphor is great as well. Very well done, Ducie. This is beautiful. *votes up*

nicely executed, from the first line you captured me with what you wanted to say. huge subject matter handled so rationally. Smiley

Awe, Flippin, this poem is like a heavy sigh of relief. Thanks for reminding us that the cold can be concurred, and days of sun lay ahead. Great job!
