Trails
Lay your head against my shoulder
I'm here for you to cry upon
To keep you safe from harm and damage
Your beacon of light in your darkest times
Holding you close to fight that fire
That rages within your soul
Confusion and pain you will not know
I'm going to heal your hurt and fade your sorrow
I understand all the things you’ve endured
I have traveled that path before
I'm quicker to journey along the twisted trail
To find my way home to safety
Picking you up when you stumble over uneven ground
Paving a way when a storm of emotion washes away the road
When you get lost I shall search day and night
I'll carry you upon my back with broken legs
We will get through this together
Nothing will stop us from getting home
