The Best Friend

a best friend is loyal and true,
a best friend is forever there for you,

they come in many sizes, colors, and shapes,
your friendship just seems like fate,

best friends are all warm and fuzzy,
a best friend, your best buddy,

they always listen and never judge,
they are there with a lick and hug,

a best bud with a deep smile on their face,
they'll help you eat your food no matter how bad it tastes,

they can't tell you that they love you, but some how you just know,
when you walk they loyaly follow,

everyone no matter who seems to have hundreds of stories of a pal,
funny, cute, they just never fail,

a best friend with a wet little nose,
wagging their tails to pull us from our lows,

fuzzy faces and ears,
it is clear,

my best friend is my dog,
is that really wrong?
