Thank You

Though I have never met you face to face
I do want to thank you for the support you gave
For the way you were there even when I wasn’t
And for the way you cared even when I couldn’t
You showed me a light I never thought I’d know
So it’s safe to say you brought the best out of me
You showed me what it means to have a real friend
So let me write this poem and give my heart in thanks
And know if you ever need me, you have my strength
I’ll give you all the support that you gave to me
And I promise that if you let me help you
I’ll make you so strong you’ll never fall
After all isn’t that what friends are for
