Leave the Flying to the Butterflies

I stitched together her eyelids so she would stop crying,
But then she couldn't see,
So I told her she was beautiful.

I cut out her heart so she would stop loving him,
But then she didnt feel for me either,
So I gave her mine.

She said she wanted to fly, so I gave her wings.

She removed my careful stitching, because it blocked her view of him.

She broke my hear because it failed in giving him what he wanted.

She broke my wings because she didn't want me to fly.

Then she hurt herself.

So I hurt her too.

Yes. So right.
It's not fair.
life never is.
Beautiful.

Absolutely incredibly destructively poignant. simply amazingly written with the feeling of helplessness shadowing inevitability.
