Deceptive Smile
Sometimes you smile that perfect smile and I think to myself nothing is wrong. Then I take another look, a quick little glance, and my heart just seems to stop. Your eyes seem so cold your expression a mask. When did this happen and why didn't I notice. I knew something was off since the first time your tried it. Then I found out you've attempted at least three more times. I don’t get it.
Why did you change and why did you expect me to take away your pain.
Then once more I look up, your smile in place, and I think to myself that I'm crazy. He's happy and smiling with a luck inspiring pure trust. You've work so hard to never let the expression slip.
But really, I know, maybe I'm even the only one; I know the pain with your name and the crime of fear.
