Blinded by Tears
He holds me in his calming grasp,
Thinking I'll stop crying.
For this I did not ask,
For him to keep me from dying.
He's held me through the horrid truth,
Telling me it'll all be okay.
And his only goal is to soothe,
To help me live to die another day.
It seems as if I'm drowning him in tears,
Though he doesn't seem to mind.
These tears of mine he'll wear,
As we walk down this winding road so blind.
