What if

What If

pile of twisted flaming wreck
maybe once more should i check
sudden pinching hard and deep
checking once more not asleep

a wreck now glowing white from flames
i wonder now what were there names
childern never more to play
or anything to parents say

sirens shrieking in the distance
madness now like sweet insestence
lives now gone for ever more
leave me feeling more than sore

could loss of life my fault have been
WHAT IF i had sooner seen
swirved out breaked or even rolled
would their parents them now hold

my heart it breaks my soul it aches
there blood on my hands makes them quake
silent madness takes it hold
my zeal for life right then grows cold
