Untitled

I've fallen in a coma, a never ending dream,
And when I finally wake up, I’ll never be the same,
Waiting for my sentence, hung or stoned to death,
Shivering in the lightning, I draw my ragged breath,
Piercing with a needle, a noose is threaded through,
Burning with desire, the scars are all brand new,
A soul is like a cavern, sucking weaklings down,
Laughing as they pray their God please don't let me drown,
Draining lifeless corpses, their blood is my despair,
Consuming every pore with guilt, tainting frozen air,
Gagging as I purge my sin, the witness I revoke,
Choking on a broken God, asphyxiating smoke,
I’ve fallen in a coma, a never ending dream,
And when I finally wake up, I’ll never be the same.

Thank you for your comment on my poem "Goose Ridge". I am glad that I took the oppurtunity to read yours as well, all of your work is great! BTW, Goose Ridge is the name of the little gravel road I walked years ago, yes the poem is old.
