Untitled
spiraling downward
at loss for words
not even reaching
not even phasing
that ill soon hit the earth
in a heartbroken shatter
as my mind disconnects
as my body contorts
in every sense of the word
im falling away
im losing my grace
to never regain
ill lay here forever
on this cold cement bed
made just for me
and those to come
and those tears you shed
ill appear to be sleeping
but im slipping away
trying to find solace
in these last moments
ill lay there silent
just like most of my life
ill lay there immobile
no signs of crying
nor strife
and as the pulse finally fades
and the outcome appears
ill lay there
just like before
and you'll notice
...
i was never really here
on this planet called earth
third rock from the sun
i was some place much worse
where your heart couldnt ever
be won.
so ill lay in my casket
six feet below ground
while you look down on me
my gravestone
engraved with words
unfamiliar and daunting
the flowers will die
with the change of the tide
and soon
you'll be lying beside me
