The Monster Inside

The walls of insanity
Are closing in on me
Save me from this fate
Before its too late

Have you noticed that when im depressed
I wont look you in the eyes
Im scared you might see the thing i work so hard to hide

Losing the control on my emotions
That ive had for years
I can feel it spilling out
All of my fears

Crawling over my skull
Scratching and clawing its way free
The monster inside
I cant let it be

When i look in the mirror
Its easy to believe
That the monster is me

I think all of us have a point in our lives, where we experience self-loathing.

We consider ourselves the monster. Even when we know we have nothing but good intentions.

I don't believe this is self loathing... it doesn't look like you feel bad you yourself that's just how you feel about yourself... very good and descriptive
