The First Lie

Outside my window, the birds sing
And clouds doze in the sky.
Flowers smile at the sun
Waving from up high.

Out the door and through the trees
I dash at break-neck pace;
Today is far too beautiful
To let it go to waste.

The rabbits, they all greet me;
The deer and hummingbirds too.
Together we lie down and stare
At the sky so blue.

And then the sky turns grey
As it rains blood and ash.
The animals desert me
And lightning starts to flash.

Of course, I don’t run;
I don’t even bother to hide.
I know that I could not escape
Even if I tried.

Whoa. That was amazing!! But like what Luv4shelly said don't pretend to be happy for other people because than you will just start getting tired... and than in the end you'll give up on the lie and everything will just spill out. Than your right back to the start. So just be yourself and happiness will come to you. I promiss. Amazing poem though.

Gosh, I had a dream like the last two stanzas, I just gave up. But don't pretend to be happy if you're not. Be who you are and just try to be happy no matter how many times you might fail. Sorry about the longness.
