My Mind
A dirt path...
the guide here...
a fog surrounds you
engulfing you in its depths
and forcing you to keep walking...
broken toys scattered
here and there...
the remnants of my childhood...
once so alive and vibrant
now dead and broken...
the path narrows and darkens
as ravens laugh
and crows cry...
do they not feel sympathy?
A brick wall now on either side
walking has been so tiresome
the floor now a well built street....
chains hang from those walls
and now in these streets
a city....
windows broken
and lamps gone out
with an endless shadow cast
it is abandoned....
a throne sits on the end of the road
sitting upon that which reigns in the dark
sits the evil in my head
my heart and soul
....me.....
i am foul but kind
i am sweet but bitter
i am alive...but dead...
welcome to my mind
