My last night on Earth

Like infant child I hold this glass ever tight
This might be the only way through the night
Shadows cast over my mind the darkest apparitions
Like flashes of light moving swiftly into my eye sight

I prepare my self for my final hour is here
I comb my hair brush my teeth in some sort of futile belief
That if I depart I will forever so be
Just as I will be here when you soon shall find me

As the wires they tighten around my neck
Their cold embrace softened by the trickling sweat
A creeping shiver runs up my spine
With a final glance from side too side

Now as I kick the stool from beneath my feet
My last breath i take ever deep
For know that I have loved you all no matter whom
I hope you can continue your lives without gloom

But now I must leave for the reaper he beckons
I see my last sight as the wall melts over
The faces of you all stare back at me as a distant memory
As the pitch black envelops ever corner of my eyes
