My Demon
My demon inside
For years took control,
Raging within,
I played no role.
Consuming all,
and gave no hope,
Toyed with me,
Offered me a noosed rope.
No more I say,
I will fight for life,
To turn the demon,
Wash back the strife.
I yearn for happiness
and a reason to live,
My demon within
Will finally give.
I will use it's strength,
To turn the tide,
Despair no more,
No longer hide.
The fire burns,
The passion sparks,
The soul in flames
The glorious dark.
The demon lives,
But not to take,
A demon of strength
Is finally awake.
