Lost Hope

I and my corpse
My corpse and I
We learned that hope warps the mind
You see I once had hope
This was when I lived
I hoped that I might be able to cope
But I soon learned that it was a waste of my time
For I lost my life because I hoped
Which is a terrible crime
I hoped and wished
I wished and hoped
That my life might get better
But my life only got more dark
So I abandoned my hope
It felt like life was a cruel lark
Without hope, you have nothing
So that is what I was
Nothing…
I began to hate my life
So I wanted it gone
I fawned my penknife
Until it ended my hated dark life
