Listen Pretty

Now listen here you pretty girl
There’s much you don’t know about this world
This world has much that you don’t know
So listen when I tell you so

Out there are beggars and the thieves
So don’t you go out on the eves
And dare not make your mother cry
Or she will curse your grave and die

So listen close my pretty child
Out there they’re wicked and they’re wild
Flee from the dangers, escape your strife
Or it will surely cost your life

Now listen here you pretty girl
There’s much you don’t know about this world
This world has much that you don’t know
So listen when I tell you so

A bit morbid, dontcha think? Haha...but not in a bad way, not at all. Another amazing poem. I can't wait to read more!

This is not morbid.... this is a truth that all of us with kooshy soft comfortable lives need to grasp. Including myself. The world is a horrible place. If a young beautiful girl goes out at night she has a risk of being raped. The world is a terrible terrible place. the more we remember this the easier it will be to live.

lol.
I agree with you darksideofme but your comment sounded so hopeless and morbid it made me laugh to see you kinda prove fade's point that this poem is indeed morbid. Smiley
