Just One Little Hello

Theres a missing spot
in the right side of the classroom
why hes not there
i guess everybody knows
youd always see him stairing out the window
i wonder what he was thinking about
was he thinking about the freedom just outside his grasp
or was he thinking about how his life turned out
i guess well never know
just how much his life could've changed
if someone had said just one little hello
thers a silence eminating from that one empty seat
a silence so very deep
and that boy without a name
made sure we'd never be the same
cause that boy without a name
made sure we'd feel his pain
he'll always be remembered for what he did
but he'll never be remembered for who he was before
and that boy without a name
the one that made sure we felt his pain
when you get to be like him
when your going nowhere
and leaving nothing behind
when you think of doing what he did
when you think of taking your life
then and only then
will you know that
that boy without a name
felt the very same
