I hear you call my name
I turn to face you
but you melt away
fading into the world
so near, yet so far
so far beyond my reach
the more I wish to forget
the more you remain
I want you to become a memory
my trembling heart
my thirsting heart
hurting for love
bleeding desire
Gasping in desperation
you can't fix these broken wings
I won't be denied again
hate feeling pain like this
tiered of pleading to fight this
tiered of losing myself
won't turn into something else

poisonous hope
it is intoxicating me
making me see illusions

the masks of harsh reality
