God's Dissapointment

Blood falls from the sky
Unto this God forgotten place.
It wets my body
And taints my white shirt
With the color of sin.

I walk around
The old Eden garden
Where Adam and Eve
Ate the forbidden apple.
Maybe I shouldn’t have put it there.

Once, I made the mistake of creating life
And told them to follow me
Into the promise land.
I assured them they could trust me
But no idolize me.
That I wasn’t a word
But meaning.

Some learned;
Many abandoned me.

Disappointed with my own creation
I ran away.
I hated the stupid men
Who didn’t believe I loved
Them unconditionally.

I tried to save the world.
First, drowning it;
Then, giving my own son
To forgive their sins.
But, men didn’t die
As my son did.

I gave up on them
The scorn of the Promised Land,
The parasite of my utopia.

They called to me for help.
Screamed that I had forgotten my people.
Blamed me of destroying lives.
Of letting their loves one
Disappear from existence
And absorb the hope from many hearts.
Now they call me the Devil.

My vengeance against those
Who didn’t trust me is infinite
And with my demons
I destroy those who count on me.

They deliver the message
To man and angel,
To those who still love me
After all my mistakes,
And those who hate me
For what I have become.

I am God,
And The Devil.
I’m no good or bad
For I’m both and none,
I’m right,
But I’m the real mistake.

There are parts of good and bad in all of us. everything is a part of us. We are "both and none" I like that line a lot.
