Forgotten Tombstones
An ancient tombstone corrodes with time,
Against the wind it can no longer fight,
Watch it crumble and turn into dust,
Watch it blow away with the gust,
Now seemingly nothing remains,
From history, another name has been erased,
Take a second look,
Think of what lies beneath,
Under wet grass and moist dirt,
A black casket deprived of all heat,
Look inside and you will see,
Yourself, a reality soon to inevitably be...
