Drowning in Darkness

I'm drowning in this sea of darkness, these waves of denial,
Slowly throwing my life away in hopes of one last smile
Something real, so I know things might be okay,
Something that will make me want to live another day
All the places that I'm searching, have answers but they're wrong
And with this dark cloud of depression worsening, I do not have too long
I wonder if it's wrong to say good bye before I drown
Looking into the eyes of those who do not yet know I've let them down
