Drops of Blood

What happened to the happy girl I used to be?
Where did she go?
How can I find her?
Those are the questions that swirl around my head as I let drops of blood pool out of my wrists.
The razor has become my best friend, and also my worst enemy.
What led to this?
How will it end?
Can't you see what I'm doing to myself?
Something finally cracked open my hard shell of sanctuary, and once I started, I couldn't stop.
I reflect upon my life as I watch the blood gush out in a thick red stream.
Why doesn't anyone notice?
What's happening to me?
I don't recognize myself anymore.
I am a pale ghost, trying to find the right path, but that path only leads to darkness.
I don't want to live this way, but I don't see any other option.
Can't you see what it's doing to me?
I'm scared.
I'm scared of what I could do to myself.
I'm scared of how this might end.
Nobody knows this deepest dark secret of mine.
By the time you find out, it may be too late.
It may already be too late...
