Crimson Cure
THIS CRIMSON CURE
In my hand a cure i hold
Thin flat metal icy cold
Not blue gray as is the norm
This ones crimson and its warm
This cure the only way i see
The only way for me to flee
Not from suffring or from cold
But from a lack of one to hold
A pool of crimson on the floor
Life then dwindling a moment more
Eyelids heavy from sleepless night
The world now fading out of sight
My life before my eyes does flash
More full of light than dark grey ash
I feel my thin cold throat grow tight
A gasp for breath in dead of night
Sitting upright in my bed
I feel the sweat on my cold head
Just a dream i realize
But not a dream to sleepy eyes
