Your touch still lingers,
sending chills across my skin.
You have no idea how good it feels,
though my heart is longing for another caress.

Good-bye, good-bye, parting is such sweet sorrow,
although it would be all the sweeter not to part.
To have you in my arms forever,
closing the distance between our hearts.

Without you, life is just a swirling torrent of pain and misery,
drawing me deep within a dark abyss of depression.
With no hope of getting out,
no hope of seeing the light.

But when you are here, everything just lights up.
My heart soars and I feel happy again.
You just illuminate everywhere you go,
even the deepest trench of the ocean.

I wish I could tell you exactly how I feel,
that you could know of my feelings as deep as the sea.
But even though I long to tell you and the words are there,
my courage fails me, so you'll never know that I love you.
