Words never to be let go

When I look back on these days,
Ill look back on it all and see your face.
Remembering all the times the two of us had.
You and I, we were always between the good and bad.
The two of you had each other and I could have had him or him but, I loved only you.
Time after time, even after the pretending was over, you loved me too.
I knew what you said then was true, and I can't let it be.
Those words of yours have been haunting my thoughts to this day,
Yet I refuse to set them free.
For you meant them, that I know.
Those words you said...are never to be let go.
