Who you are today

I remember the days,
The days when you held me tight,
and told me,
"everything is going to be alright"

I remember,
when I was yours,
your dream,
your wish come true.

I remember,
when you wanted me to always be happy,
if i was sad,
you'd try and make me glad

I remember,
when you told me you loved me,
I was in shock of excitment,
I was speechless,
You were scared,
until i finally muttered the words,
i love you too.

I remember,
If I was mad at you,
If you did something wrong,
you try and fix it,
you'd do everything and anything to make me forgive you

I remember,
The first time you kissed me,
The rush we felt,
The smile on your face,
the fast pace of my heart,
the love connection we had

This is what I remembered of you,
and is not the present,
but the past.

I wish you were what I remember,
I wish that was who you are today.
