What We Had

i hate how you left me,
i hate how you went to her.
i love how you cherished me,
why did u give up?
you quit on me,
you had no reason to try.
she was better,
but not at all easy to love,
as i was to you.
for all those cries,
and all those tears,
you made them stop once and for all.
you made me realize that all that pain and all those scars,
was nothing but a symbol of shame.
a symbol of shame that was not meant to happen.
my head says i am better than you,
better than her.
then why won't my heart agree?
i will never again say that you were once my dream; once my world; once my everything.
baby i hope you get everything you wanted.
i just hope you realize that nothing is compard betwean u and me...what we had
