Velvet Touch, Satin Kisses
I've cried day and night,
Out of pain, out of might,
For your breath was the wind beneath my feet.
And your touch was velvet,
That even I couldn't beat.
You weaved words of amber,
Shining wisps of gold,
As the moonlit skies twirled around us,
But it was still so frightfully cold.
Would you give me redemption
With your sweet satin kiss?
Or condemn me to the River of the Damned,
That of which you so passionately missed.
Slowly your velvet touch turned to ashes,
Burning holes upon my skin.
It was the Devil's touch,
Lacing me with sin.
I've now become fallen,
As I wait aimlessly,
To look into those eyes,
That only I can see...
I knew you'd condemn me
As your final wish,
But I will forever crave
Thy sweet satin kiss.
